Quality Assurance Program
Valicore's Quality Assurance Process is flexible to handle the diverse needs of a wide variety of customers. This process begins during the customer engagement process when objectives such as schedules, non-recurring costs, recurring costs, and performance are established.
Any special quality requirements the customer may have are evaluated at this time and integrated into Valicore's development process early. These requirements may include interfacing with customer review boards, trouble reporting schemes, use of specific trending analysis tools, integration with risk management processes, etc.
Close integration with the customer's quality control process ensures that Valicore's work process delivers solutions that meet the customers needs without sacrificing other important characteristics. For defense related products, where high quality is essential, quality checks are integrated into each step of the process. Depending on the contract or task order particulars and Valicore's role, these steps may include system requirements analysis and definition, subsystem requirements derivation, system architecture design, subsystem design, code, unit test, subsystem test, system test, delivery, provisioning, installation, certification, accreditation, and eventually deactivation.
Generally, Valicore embraces the principal "build a little, test a lot." During each step of the engagement, designs are reviewed for completeness, analyzed, tested, documented, and recorded. When problems are found, they are not simply fixed and forgotten. Instead, these are documented and recorded. An analysis is then performed so that the root cause for problems can be identified. From this, it may be possible to determine that the same sort of problem occurred undetected elsewhere in the project. Analysis may also show how similar problems can be avoided in the future, and can be used to ensure that product quality is continually improving. The deliverables associated with each Task Orders will be reviewed to high standards. Mr. Jason Dorsey, Principal Architect will act as the Quality Assurance director for Valicore's Seaport-e team.
